What is ‪#‎VoteForMusic‬?#VoteForMusic
#VoteForMusic is a campaign kick-started by The hub, with support from Music Venue Trust and BonaFideStudio, designed to raise awareness of music industry issues during the election campaign.
Want the next government to change licensing law? Or maybe cut VAT on tickets? What about tax relief for venues? Commit to maintaining current levels of funding for music? Re-introduce music into the curriculum?
THEN #VOTEFORMUSIC, AND GET YOUR VOICE HEARD.

#VoteForMusic
From 9 April, four weeks from E-Day and right up till the polls close at 10pm on 7 May, we’re asking music fans, musicians and other industry professionals – anyone who cares about music – to cast their vote for the single most important issue they want the next government (regardless of its political hue) to address.
Results of the #VoteForMusic campaign will be announced at The Great Escape Festival on 15 May, with plans being developed for a head-to-head debate featuring senior politicians at our One Dayer conference on 1 July.

#VoteForMusic

Why should you vote?
Because in 2014, the music industry contributed £3.8bn to the UK economy, so introducing legislation that helps it flourish is a no-brainer. Doing so will benefit fans, musicians, venues and everyone making a living from, and enjoying, music…. and the UK’s economy and society at large.
#VoteForMusic is apolitical – it’s not about attacking or supporting any one party – rather it’s about encouraging political engagement and reminding people that it’s good to have a voice.

PLAY YOUR PART. GET INVOLVED. MAKE YOUR #VOTEFORMUSIC COUNT.
